COLLINE TERAMANE MONTEPULCIANO D'ABRUZZO RISERVA D.O.C.G.

RISERVA

Introduced in Abruzzo at the beginning of the nineteenth century, the Montepulciano grape has spread throughout the region to become the only red grape in the region, at the expense of a more selective policy and quality compared to other clones and the production of wine. Eventually, the “Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita” was approved for the subarea of production “Teramane Hills”, with a much more severe disciplinary, which allows a differentiation of quality in the vast and varied production of Montepulciano. For the Riserva is required a minimum of three years of aging. The 2003 vintage is the first production year released with the new guidelines. The company was the first to enroll with the new disciplinary, to demonstrate that we believe in the actual vocation and peculiarities of this region of Abruzzo, which is clearly different from other provinces in the region.
